Initial cheers of joy at the possibility of a trade agreement between Washington and Beijing were diluted as sentiment amongst investors is that stocks have gone too high following January’s rally.

Not to mention Trump’s latest lashing out at Fed’s chief Jerome Powell, “We have a gentleman that likes a very strong dollar at the Fed. I want a strong dollar, but I want a dollar that is great for our country not a dollar that is so strong that it is prohibitive for us to be dealing with other nations.”

Therefore the DJIA retreated by 0.8%, hitting its lowest point in 2 weeks, while the S&P 500 also shed 0.4% and the Nasdaq followed suit by just going below 0.2%.
