Early trading in the U.S. has been extremely volatile and the banks have taken a hit.

The Dow Jones and the S&P500 both fell, the Dow dropped by 187 points entering correction zone and the S&P slid by 0.5%.

Both indexes are down 2.5% for the year so far while the notable big names of J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley all dropped by at least 0.7%.

The flattening yield curve and uncertainty over the Brexit fiasco have been the driving forces behind the decline.
