Democratic House speaker Nancy Pelosi has accused Donal Trump of betraying the U.S. national security in what she seems to believe is foreign intervention for the upcoming 2020 elections.

Ms. Pelosi believes that Trump has pressured current Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky to look into the business activities of Joe Biden’s son urging US lawmakers to launch an impeachment inquiry on President Trump.

The inquiry makes Trump the first President to be impeached since 1998 when Bill Clinton faced the same issue.

Pelosi stated that, “The president must be held accountable. Nobody is above the law.”

“The actions of the Trump presidency revealed . . . the president’s betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security and betrayal of the integrity of our election.”

Trump snubbed the remarks as he wasted no time in responding to Democratic speaker, “Such an important day at the United Nations, so much work and so much success, and the Democrats purposely had to ruin and demean it with more breaking news Witch Hunt garbage. So bad for our Country!”

Trump has acknowledged speaking with the Ukrainian president regarding the Bidens and additionally confirmed that he decided to withhold nearly $400 million of military aid to Ukraine before making the call to the Ukrainian counterpart.

However Trump denies that he was attempting to pressure Mr Zelensky, as he is due to release the transcripts of the conversation between the two.
