U.S. indices have suffered their biggest loss for 2019 as both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq saw a sharp selloff.

Trump’s latest attack on China, hinting at additional tariffs being imposed, did not aide to the cause either.

Following the President’s remarks China saw its currency to hit its lowest point in 10 years against the greenback.

The DJIA ended the session by shedding 2.9% while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq saw losses of 3% and 3.5% respectively.
