US markets retreat as Trump imposes tariffs on EU goods

U.S. stocks ended the session lower, as Donal Trump announced the imposing of sanctions on $11 billion of EU products, as according to his statement, EU subsidies to Airbus have had a negative impact on U.S. economy.
The DJIA fell by 0.7% to close at 26,150.58, while the S&P 500 index ended its 8-day winning streak by retreating by 0.6% 2,878.20.
Closing the exchange, the Nasdaq also slipped by 0.6% to settle at 7,909.28 points as Apple and American Airlines Group Inc. both shed 0.3% and 1.7% respectively.
