US indices rise as Washington revises tariffs on Chinese products

U.S. indices rallied during yesterday’s session as trade representatives from Washington announced revisions to the 10% tariff which is due to be imposed on $300 billion of annual imports from China.

According to the statement, products such as cell phones, laptops, video game consoles, certain toys, computer monitors and several footwear and clothing accessories will not be subject to the planned tariffs.

On that note, the DJIA climbed by 1.4% clocking its biggest gains for the last two months, meanwhile the S&P500 also increased by 1.5% and the Nasdaq ended the day’s exchange higher by 1.9%.
