Markets slightly off as healthcare sector slips

U.S. indices closed slightly lower as the health sector took a hit as unfavourable policy changes loom.

The DJIA dipped by 3.12 points as Bank of New York Mellon and IBM shares fell by 9.2% and 4% respectively.

Morgan Stanley’s stock rose by 2.6% on the back of positive first quarter figures.

Meanwhile the S&P 500 dipped by 0.2% as the health sector dropped by 0.9% and the Nasdaq fell by 3.15 points, although shares of Apple and Qualcomm rose by 2% and 12% respectively following their settled legal dispute.
