Gold prices steadied in today’s exchanges, pulling back some of the losses it suffered as it hit a five-week low in the previous session, lifted by a pause in global equities rally, while a firm greenback halted the bullion from making further gains.
Spot gold was steady at $1,287.25 per ounce, as of 0418 GMT, after slipping to $1,280.70 in the previous session, its lowest since late January
U.S. gold futures were up about 0.3% to $1,287.90 per ounce.
