Former Trump lawyer Cohen sentenced to 3 years imprisonment

The former lawyer of President Trump, Michel Cohen has been sentenced to three years in prison for fraudulent conduct during the presidential elections.

Just before being sentenced Cohen addressed the Federal Court in Manhattan, “I take full responsibility for each act that I pled guilty to — The personal ones to me and those involving the president of the United States of America," adding that "Blind loyalty' to Trump 'led me to take a path of darkness instead of light".

Cohen is also fined $50,000 for misleading information to the Congress in regards to a real-estate deal between Russia and the Trump Organization, his sentence however will begin as of March 6.

The sentence however was not what the prosecutors were looking for as they urged for it to be in the region of 5 years and above.

On this instance the White House had no comment on the sentence of Trump’s former legal adviser.
