EU markets traded higher earlier as economic data from the Federal Statistical Office showed German exports rose 0.7% in August, while markets had forecast a 0.5% fall.

The DAX in Berlin added 0.4% while in London the FTSE 100 gained 0.4%.

In Milan the FTSE MIB rose 0.3% while Spain’s IBEX was up 0.2% and Paris index CAC 40 was mostly flat.
