EU markes trade lower as oil prices surge

EU markets were trading lower amid geopolitical uncertainties and rising oil prices which hit a 4-month high.

The Stoxx 600 closed lower by 0.2% while Germany’s DAX slipped by 0.3% and so did the French CAC 40 as it retreated by 0.1%.

The EUR/USD was down 0.2% at $1.1233.

London’s FTSE 100 dropped by 0.3% hence the GBP/USD pair rose by 0.1%.

Rounding things up was the Italian borsa, the FTSE MIB which was too lower by 0.2%.
