Dow posts fourth straight winnning day as banking sector rises

Wall Street saw moderate movement during Monday’s session as investors await on fresh stimulus moves expected later in the week by the world’s central banks.

The DJIA rose by 0.2%, falling short of 2.1% of its record high set in July and marking its fourth consecutive win, meanwhile the S&P 500 remained unchanged closing at 2,978.43 points.

The Nasdaq fell off the pace, shedding 0.2% and the smaller cap index the Russell 2000 added 1.3%.

Caterpillar shares rose by 3.7% while Alphabet and Microsoft saw losses of 0.1% and 1.1% respectively.

AT&T shares rose by 1.5% and the banking sector saw some significant gains as J.P. Morgan added 2.5%, Citigroup rose by 4.3% and Bank of America gained 3.3%
