China PMI activity at its best since February 2018

The Caixin China General Manufacturing PMI rose to 51.4 in September 2019 from 50.4 in the previous monht and beating the expected mark of 50.2.

It is the strongest pace of expansion in factory activity since February 2018, as output grew the most in over a year, new orders expanded at the fastest pace since March 2018 and input buying rose for the third month running.

At the same time, employment was broadly unchanged for the second straight month, while backlogs of works went up at the steepest rate since early 2018, meanwhile the current trade dispute with the US and slowing global demand have suppressed overseas sales.
