Asian markets trade mostly lower but China's indexes post gains

Asian indices were mostly lower following Wall Street’s sell off in the previous exchange, however in mainland China the major indices rose.

The Shanghai Composite inched higher 0.1%, while the Shenzhen composite increased by a larger margin of 0.8%.

Over in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng traded slightly lower by 0.1% as Sands China and Galaxy Entertainment dropped by 1.1% and 2.1% respectively.

In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 fell by 0.5% as SoftBank shed by 1.7% although Uniqlo’s owners, Fast Retailing increased by 2%.

Meanwhile in Seoul the Kospi fell by 0.5% and the Aussie ASX 200 also shed 0.2%.
