Asian markets surge following Wall Street's gains

Asian markets were boosted by Wall Street’s session as it saw gains all across the board.

China’s mainland indices, the Shanghai Composite and the Shenzhen Composite both rose by 0.3%.

Meanwhile in Hong Kong the Hang Seng rose by a slight 0.2% as tech firm Tencent too increased by 0.2% and Galaxy Entertainment gained almost 4%.

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 advanced by 0.3% although Sony, Honda and SoftBank all saw losses.

The South Korean Kospi inched higher by 0.2% along with Taipei’s TAIEX as it climbed by 0.4% on the back of Apple’s component maker Foxconn whose shares climbed by 1.5%.

In down under the Aussie ASX 200 increased by 0.5% with Beach Energy and Fortescue Metals gaining 2.9% and 1.9% respectively.
