Asian markets have been trading after the Christmas holidays, apart from Australia and Hong Kong as they are still closed for the festive season.

Japan’s Nikkei 225, bounced back from yesterday’s slump, which saw it decline 7%, regain some momentum as it went up by 0.26% while the Topix rose by 0.76%.

Tuesday's slide was mainly caused due to Fast Retailing's shares tumbling by 4%, momentarily sending the index into bear territory.

However, it wasn’t the same for South Korea’s Kospi as it fell by 1.43% while China’s Shenzhen composite dipped by 0.166% and the Shanghai composite was mainly flat.
