Asian markets notch up gains on first day of trading

Asian indices rose on earlier trading as both the U.S. and China released economic data. including the United States and China.
Chinese indices fared well as the Shanghai composite increased by 0.8% as so did the Shenzhen component as it rose by 1.8% and its counterpart, the Shenzhen composite also adding 1.9%.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng remained unchanged throughout the session as the city continues to deal with the social unrest.
The Nikkei 225 in Tokyo closed higher by 0.5% and the Topix also climbed higher by 0.9%.
Meanwhile in South Korea, the Kospi gained 0.5% while the Aussie ASX 200 remained mostly flat during today’s session.
