Asian indices were mostly mixed during today’s exchange as investors await whether Brexit will be once again delayed as PM Johnson calls for an election.

In mainland China the Shanghai Composite shed by 0.2% while the Shenzhen Composite edged out a gain of 0.9%.

Over in Hong Kong the Hang Seng slipped by 0.4% as AAC shares fell by 1.2% although CSPC Pharmaceuticals and CNOOC both gained 5.6% and 0.1% respectively.

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 could have closed a lot higher, instead had to settle for a 0.2% gain as SoftBank shares continued to fall along with FamilyMart, both stocks giving up 1.2% and 1.7% respectively.

South Korea’s Kospi remained flat throughout the exchange while the Aussie ASX200 rose by 0.6%.
