Asian indices were somehow mixed today, with the indices in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea, all posting losses.

However, mainland China’s Shanghai composite index rose 0.4% as the only winner of the day’s exchange session in the region.

The Nikkei 225 shed 0.4% as Mitsubishi UFJ and oil producer Inpex both shed 0.2% and 3.8% respectively.

The Kospi fell by 0.2% as Samsung and SK Hynix both posted negative figures and the Hang Seng dropped 0.6% as Apple supplier AAC’s shares took a 1.4% dive.

The Aussie ASX 200 didn’t fare to well either as it lost 0.9% as the oil and commodities sector took a hit, notably Santos and Oil search posting losses of 2.5% and 1.1%.
