Asian markets have traded negatively in today’s session as investors look ahead to any possible developments in the trade standoff between the U.S. and China.
Mainland Chinese indices fell as the Shenzhen composite and Shanghai composite gave up 1.3% and 1.4% respectively.
Meanwhile, in Hong Kong the Hang Seng index shed 0.85 shares of Fosun International fell by 0.9%, Fosun being the largest shareholder of British travel agent firm Thomas Cook which has just collapsed following a failed last-ditch attempt to rescue the company.
In South Korea the Kospi was lower by 0.1% while in Australia the ASX200 was the only index to show some gains as it gained 0.3%.
