Asian indices lower as Brexit likely to be delayed

Asian indices traded lower as Brexit is likely to suffer yet another delay, hence affecting investor sentiment globally.

In mainland China the Shanghai Composite and Shenzhen Composite dropped by 0.3% while in Hong Kong the Hang Seng shed 1% as shares of AAC and Tencent fell by 3.7% and 2.2% respectively.

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 reopened following a public holiday on Tuesday, however it did not make any significant moves as it remained flat with shares of SoftBank retreating by 2.5% along with Sony and Ratuken whose shares closed lower by 2.2% and 1.6%.

Over in Seoul the Kospi slid by 0.6% as did the TAIEX in Taipei, by 0.2% and the STI in Singapore, by 0.5%.

Also on the downtrend was the Aussie ASX 200 as it gave up 0.2% as Beach Energy and National Bank of Australia both declined by 0.4%.
