Indonesia Market Today - 13 May 2020

A. INDONESIA MORNING MARKET REVIEW

Wednesday (13/05/2020). The combination of DJIA`s sharp drop of -1.89%, EIDO -2.19% as well as falling commodity prices such as Nickel -0.97%, Tin -0.15% and CPO -1.77% have the potential to push down JCI in trading on Wednesday amid no visible signs of a sign of a decrease in the number of victims infected and killed by Corona Virus in Indonesia is increasing where Corona Virus has infected 14,749 people (to 16,000 people) with 1,007 people killed (Fatality Rate of 6.83%).

On the other hand, the following commodity-based stocks such as: Coal + 1.50%, Oil + 4.97% and Gold + 0.49% have the potential to strengthen today.

Knowing that IHSG has the potential to be affected by continued profit taking amid foreign investors who continue to record Net Sell where YTD (as of May 12, 2020) reaches Rp -22.12 trillion and valuation there are still quite a lot of very attractive stocks to buy, we recommend it highly selectively if investors want to do BOW or Swing Trade then they can focus on shares from FMCG, Basic Industries, Chemicals, Hospitals, Consumer, Cigarettes, Banks and Coal in trading this Wednesday.
