Markets trade higher as Trump delays automobile tariffs
U.S. markets traded higher as Trump delayed imposing tariffs on automobiles for up to 6 months.
The DJIA closed higher 0.4% at 115.97 points, erasing an earlier loss of 190, largely due to Boeing shares rising by 0.8%, along with Ford Motors and General Motors as both jumped by 1.2% and 0.9% respectively.
Meanwhile the S&P 500 increased by 0.6% to close on 2,850.96 points and the Nasdaq closed the session higher by advancing by 1.1% at 7,822.15 points as Alphabet’s shares rose by 4.1% following Deutsche Bank increasing the tech giant’s price target from $1,300 to $1,400.
