U.S. indices rally on, Oil prices jump by more than 7%

U.S. indices have made a rally after the worst Christmas Eve on record.

The DJIA shot up by 550 points, while the S&P 500 who traded in bear territory on Monday found itself rising by 2.6%, last but certainly not least is the Nasdaq which outshone the field with a climb of 3.5%.

Retailers enjoyed a surge too as Wayfair, Kohl’s and Dollar General went up by more than 5.5%, while Amazon’s stock too rose by the same figure of 5.5% as it recorded on of its best Christmas seasons.

U.S. crude prices catapulted by more than 7%, WTI was at $45.80 per barrel, up 7.7% with other producers such as Marathon Oil rising by 7.6% and Heiss by 6.9%.

Brent crude futures were at $54.03 up by 7.1%.
