US indices have their best start in a decade

The US indices have got off to one of their best starts in a long while.

The DJIA rose by 0.5%, bringing its year-to-date gain to 2.89% hence posting it the best 7-day streak since 2006.

The S&P 500 climbed by 0.5% resulting in a 3.58% overall gain since the beginning of the year and its best start in 13 years.

Meanwhile the Nasdaq closed on a 0.4% rise, posting a 5.3% year-to-date increase and its best seven-session start since 2006.
