Qualcomm scores a second blow to Apple in Germany

Qualcomm has struck a second victory against Apple as it seeks to further dent the gem in its cap.

Apple meanwhile faces a second in Germany, as it has been ruled that phones containing a mixture of chips from both Intel and Apple supplier Qorvo, violates Qualcomm’s patent of envelope tracking.

Apple is certainly going to appeal the injunction however for the time being iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models will not be sold in 15 outlets in Germany.

Nevertheless, iPhone XS, XS Max and XR will continue to be sold per normal as the ruling would not go into immediate effect as stated by Judge Matthias Zigann.

As foretold this second win of Qualcomm comes after a previous ruling by a Chinese judge earlier this month, nevertheless Apple shares have not been affected as such following the announcement.
