The US government partial shutdown will continue into next week as legislator failed to come to an agreement in regards to Trump’s requests to complete the U.S. -Mexico border.

This takes the shutdown in its 12th day as the Senate decided to adjourn the decision as to whether or not to renew the spending budget until next Wednesday.

Democrats and Republican continue the squabble over the $5 billion required to build the wall, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said that Trump, “will not sign a proposal that does not first prioritize our county's safety and security," accusing the Democrats of, “choosing to keep our government closed to protect illegal immigrants rather than the American people."

And one can be sure that Trump will not be the one to cave in to the opposition’s demands.

Nevertheless the continuing drama does put a weight on the economy, although the markets have rallied since a tragic Christmas period and is making the 2019 outlook for the U.S. economy rather cloudy.
