Global debt levels reached a record $182 trillion in 2017, having grown 50 percent in the previous decade, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Wednesday.
Global debt reached a new record of $182 trillion in 2017, 50 percent higher than at the start of the financial crisis a decade ago.
31 countries comprising 61 percent of global GDP have public assets totaling $101 trillion.
Better management of public assets could yield revenue gains as high as 3 percent of GDP.
