Former Nissan chairman Ghosn likely to be released

The Tokyo District Court has announced it will not extend former Nissan’s chairman Carlos Ghosn detention along with Ghosn’s former deputy Greg Kelly.

Carlos Ghosn has been in custody since November 19 for financial misconduct during his tenor as the Japanese carmaker’s chairman since 2010, although having been charged with further allegations on December 10 the custodial period has now come to an end and will very likely be released.
