Former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak has been arrested over accusations of tampering with the 1MDB audit report.

Mr. Razak had arrived at the headquarters of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission this early morning as he was due to be given further questioning over the issue.

Speculations are that the tampering might be the removal of fugitive Low Taek Jho’s name from paragraphs mentioning his presence at a 1MDB board of directors meeting.

Auditor General Madinah Mohamed siad other changes on the report were the financial status of 1MDB adding that the changes had come from Shukry Salleh, former principal private secretary of Mr. Razak.
