EU markets finish strong in penultimate session of 2018

Eurozone indices have come out of yesterday’s slump to record some gains, the Stoxx Europe 600 climbed by 2% after hitting a 52-week low in the previous session.

It is still however down 14% for the whole year.

Britain’s FTSE 100 showed the best gains as it climbed by 2.2%, meanwhile the Stoxx Europe 50 index also rose by 1.9%.

France’s CAC pushed up to a 2% gain and Italy’s FTSEMIB advanced b 1.4%

Last it is Germany’s DAX, whom on its last trading day of the year, edged by 1.7%, nevertheless, this has been a rough year as it is overall down by 18% and has seen a total loss of 43% since 2008.
